To All Highmark International StrEAT Festival Vendors,
We are fast approaching the Festival and we have a great line up of entertainment with 12 acts over 2 stages.
Our advertising is in full effect. We have 5 street banners scattered throughout the city. We have spots on
KDKA Radio and TV, social media and more. Also we will be featured on Pittsburgh Today Live on Thursday
Please read this message in its entirety as there are important details for you as a vendor.
Date and hours of festival
Saturday June 1, 12p-8p
Sunday June 2, 12p-8p
Set up – Please report anytime after 8am to our information tent that will be located at 6 th & Penn
Avenue and we will escort you to your space. Please be patient as we have lots of vendors to set up.
Parking – We have a vendor parking lot at 7 th St & Liberty Avenue with limited spaces and is dedicated
to trucks only. There is a pay parking garage at 6 th St and Penn Avenue 15222-google for directions
Penn Avenue will be closed to traffic starting at 8am Saturday. All vendors must be torn down and
vacated by 11pm Sunday.
Security – We will have security throughout festival and overnight. However we are not responsible for
lost or stolen items. Please take valuables with you overnight.
Garbage – All vendors are responsible for garbage clean up within your space. Please tie garbage bags
as we will be around periodically to pick up garbage. At the end of the festival on Sunday your space
must be clean and left as found when arrived with no debris or garbage left out other than in bags and
Tents – If bringing your own tent it MUST be secured with sandbags or weights. Food Vendor tents
must be fire rated. Very Important – YOU MUST LOWER YOUR TENT ON SATURDAY NIGHT.
Electricity – All food vendors must bring their own QUIET generators. If generator is too loud you will
be shutdown. We have a limited number of electricity for Non Food Vendors. The price is $200. You
must bring a long extension cord and power strip.
Food Vendors – You must complete the Health Department’s application and return to THEM ASAP.

Information from the Allegheny County Health Department regarding Temporary Vendors
All temporary and seasonal food facilities must have a current Allegheny County health permit.
Temporary food stands are food facilities that operate at a fixed location for a period of time (no more than 14 consecutive days) in conjunction with a single event or celebration. The fee for a temporary permit is $44.00.
Seasonal food stands are food facilities that operate for no more than six consecutive months each year at a flea market or farmers market. Seasonal food stands only require one permit for each stand. The same permit can be used for multiple recognized farmers market locations in Allegheny County. The fee for a seasonal permit is $72.00.

To obtain a temporary or seasonal food facility health permit, please complete the Temporary and Seasonal Food Facilities Checklist and submit it along with the permit fee payment to:

Information must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the event to allow sufficient time for processing. Your health permit will either be mailed to you in advance or delivered to your location on the day of the event.
Please Note: All potentially hazardous foods (meats, cheeses, dairy products, fish, pasta, rice, cooked vegetables, etc.) must be prepared on site at the event or at another permitted facility. Foods prepared in a private home may not be used or sold at the event. The number of different menu items should be minimized and food preparation steps should be simplified to reduce risk.
